401 Unauthorized error-- IIS Using old account to authenticate

Hi! So I recently uninstalled AD DS on Server 2012 R2, which was a fairly destructive task. IIS was running and we hit something unexpected.

Since all the domain users were deleted, I removed all the old users on the domain from the permissions setting of the root directory of the website, and replaced it with the user "spsweb" that I set IIS to use to authenticate. The issue is, it keeps turning a 401 because it is trying to authenticate with the old domain user "spssite". (log file bwlow)

If you do some skimming or a browser search for "spssite" in the log, which is the old account, you can see it tried to authenticate with that name. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling IIS, and making sure anonymous authentication was set correctly. Any thoughts?

Log file (mega link, xps file)

Kind regards,

Sean S
