Hi,
We have upgraded a WS server 2008r2 server to WS2012 R2 with the AD and IIS role.
The upgrade went well but we have one issue with a website running an executable Winscp. (with a site overlay, so it runs underwater)
On 2008R2 the identity of the application pool was 'applicationpooliddentity' and the site was functioning fine.
Now, after the upgrade, we had to set the identity of the application pool to 'localsystem' to let the web application work again. of course set the identity of the application pool to 'localsystem' is not recommended.
But we can't figure out how to give the application pool the correct permissions. We have used procmon to capture all the access denied messages and resolved them but the app is still not working.
Does anyone have any suggestions how to resolve this issue? Many thanks.
