Require authentication externally, use anonymous internally

Is it possible to configure IIS in a way that if I'm accessing my site from an external source/IP that authentication would be required but when accessed on the internal network anonymous authentication is used?

Normally I'd use Windows Authentication but internally, not all machines are part of the domain so if they access the site they'd be asked for credentials.  Since they're authenticated on to the network through other means, I don't really require them to need to sign in again just to access the site.  However, I don't want just anyone on the internet to be able to get through, but I'd like the site to be accessable externally at the same time - but require a username and password.

I can think of a way to do this by using a second server, but I was wondering if I could get away with this just by using the single web server?
