Allow file rename while it is being Uploaded, despite File Handling Settings.

Hi everyone.

Problem description: Our propietary software is able to rename a file while it is being Uploaded by a user, despite "IIS File Handling Settings" that are all set to "False". This ends up with an incomplete file in our production system.

Architecture: We are using remote storage path in IIS virtual directory \\, so the user that is actually connecting to the storage is the one that is logged in FTP service, not the local IUSR_user of the IIS server.

Platform: Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise sP1 64b + Microsoft Internet Information Services 7.0

I have been digging and I found out this:

http://serverfault.com/questions/66731/how-to-stop-access-to-file-while-it-is-being-uploded-by-ftp-on-windows-server-20

But we don't use IUSR account, becouse our storage is external to the IIS box. In addition I am not sure about the write permission solution..it sounds like a kind of workaround with colateral effects.

Any suggestion would be really appreciated.

Thx for your collaboration & regards.
