I am running into a curious issue on our IIS 7.5 NLB cluster using shared configuration. I have tried to enable IP Address and Domain Restrictions and it doesn't appear to be working. On a specific physical folder I have set it to allow access for unspecified clients and then set it to deny access for several specific IP addresses. Unforunately, the deny is not taking effect. These same settings work as expected on our test server, also running IIS 7.5 but *not* in and NLB cluster or using shared configuration.
The following forum posts indicate that this might be an issue with IP address restrictions and IIS shared configuration, but the resolutions in the threads are unsatisfactory. Not using shared configuration is not an option in our case.
