Configuring IIS 7.5 on Windows 7 for file upload

I keep getting "Access Denied" on the subfolder I am trying to write an uploaded file to

DefaultAppPool:  .NET: v4.0, Managed Pipeline Mode: Integrated,Identity: ApplicationPoolIdentity

Site Application pool:  DefaultAppPool,  Pass-through authentication

Anonymous Authentication: Enabled

ASP.NET Impersonation: Disabled - tried Enable as well

Forms Authentication:  Enabled

Windows Authentication:  Disabled

Anonymous Authentication Credentials:  Application pool Identity

Folder Permissions - Security Tab

Group or user names:  DefaultAppPool,  Permissions: Full control;

Group or user names::  System and Network Service, Permissions:  Full control

All my research says this should work but it doesn't.

Also when changing the properties of the Application pool, should I run iisreset (have been doing but not sure it is needed!

Help  :-) LOL!

Suggestion for MS IIS

- Why not do elective wizards for IIS configuration settings where forum posts still suggest a lot of confusion.

Suggested Wizard Name:  Configurating for file upload

I have to think that once this is better understood that it would be no big deal

Thanks a head of time for your help.
