Previously I used the j drop command in my Linux based router to keep out China/Russia hackers and script kiddies. I've recently moved to a dedicated server in a data center and I no longer have direct router access.
I just published a new site/forum on the new server last night and this morning I awoke to around two hundred spam registrations as well as server logs full of script kiddie attempts at compromising my server. It took hours to clean up and remove all the registrations as well as ensure nothing was compromised. These attacks take the fun out of administering a forum and I cannot do this every day.
Is there a way in IIS to block IP access via CIDR?
Thanks!
