This has our network admin stumped.
we have running system working on server1 win2008 application pool running with service account domain\myappname (its a domain user and that's all)
its very happy...
we have a new server waiting for this app to be moved to win2012 however in setup this is proving to be impossible to setup because in IIS when we go into the
Application pools and change the Advanced settings to "Set" to run as a "custom account" we get "invalid password" - it is NOT an invalid password it is the same password as on Server1, where it works. The Event log gives a better message (Failure Information: Failure Reason: User not allowed to logon at this computer.)
is there new changes in win2012 that might be causing this. is there a group policy "somewhere" that we need to look at or is there some other detail that I'm missing?
what's going on here?!
